ABOUT SEAN

Sean O’Kelley is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer, and saxophonist specializing in 1960s-inspired jazz, pop, and cinematic soul. As the bandleader and principal songwriter for The Secret Agents, he crafts high-energy music that blends spy movie swagger, vintage grooves, and modern production. His distinctive arranging style—shaped by influences like Lalo Schifrin, Sonny Rollins, Sam Butera, Quincy Jones, and Bobby Darin—has powered performances from Hollywood to Europe, including his role as former principal arranger for the acclaimed big band Phat Cat Swinger. With a deep catalog of original compositions and over 100 arrangements, Sean brings retro flair to contemporary audiences through sharp songwriting, stylish horn lines, and timeless swing.

But Sean doesn’t just write—he performs with electric charisma. A dynamic showman and passionate multi-instrumentalist, he wails on tenor sax, sets the mood on flute, channels nostalgia through clarinet, and brings versatility on baritone, soprano, and alto saxophones. Equally at home on stage or in the studio, Sean has recorded for a wide range of ensembles and composers across genres.

Sean can be seen lighting up the stage with some of Los Angeles’ top vintage and jazz acts, including The Secret Agents, The Mark Kopitzke Quintet, Velvet Noir, Nutty, Dani & The Delinquents, The Amanda Castro Band, The Goodfellas, Douglas Roegiers & His Lucky Seven, Luke Carlsen & The Fresh Rhythm Big Band, The Moontones, Lil Mo & The Dynaflos, and Aileen Quinn & The Leapin’ Lizards – just to name a few!
